My exhibition at the Sam Scorer Gallery is now finished!! After getting through 6 tubes of titanium white, 21 canvases, planning my subjects, funding, 2 newspaper features, painting with music and many cups of tea, installing, curating and invigilating by myself.. I can proudly say that my first ever solo exhibition went smoothly and was was very much enjoyed. I met some very fascinating/interesting/weird/lovely people and had wonderful feedback for my work. That mixed with sales and my good friend Alex’s gorgeous jewellery (photos to follow) made it a very fun two weeks 🙂 Thank you very much to everyone who came and were so supportive and lovely. Photos will follow
<a I have been busy painting and preparing for my exhibition (April 2nd – 14th Sam Scorer Gallery, Lincoln) here are a few snippets iv managed to document along my way.
Today a feature was run in my local newspaper The Lincolnshire Echo about my upcoming exhibition at the Sam Scorer Gallery, Lincoln (April 2nd-14th). I was very pleased to see my work there and suggested as a great visiting point over the two weeks it will be running. My work is a sophisticated blend of purposeful elegance with chaotic overtones, depicting wildlife art and varying subjects. I’m so excited for my work to be up for my first ever solo exhibition and I welcome you all to come see it for yourself 🙂 Pieces will be for sale, and I am hoping to have prints and postcards and other commemorative merchandise for my beloved paintings. Hope to see you there! Katy x
Here is a photograph of my work up on the walls at an event for Lincoln Art Works. Very proud to see it up on the wall like this 🙂 For for information have a look at http://www.facebook.com/katyjadedobsonart Can’t wait for more exhibiting in the future 🙂 Katy
